Recruitment Of 188 Homeguards Placed On Hold
Hyderabad: Recruitment of 188 homeguards was placed on hold here on Monday by the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad.
The Court was hearing a petition which alleged irregularities in the recruitment process of homeguards. The judges found fault with the government decision to issue appointment letters to those who secured 63 percentile and were selected in the open category. Replying to the appointment decision, the Advocate General stated that it was undertaken as per 14F of the Presidential Order. However, the Court sought more clarity on the issue from the government. It also ordered the government to file a counter within two weeks highlighting the recruitment process in filling the posts district-wise and category-wise.
The High Court also made it clear that it reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process if it is satisfied that there were irregularities. Police Recruitment Board chairman Purnachandra Rao was present in the Court during the hearing.
