Ready To Sacrifice My Life: Mudragada Refuses To Budge On Padayatra

Kirlampudi (East Godavari): Kapu patriarch Mudragada Padmanabam has reiterated that he will take out Padayatra to capital city Amaravati and wait for the permission from the state government.

Speaking to media persons on Friday from his residence at Kirlampudi, Mudragada said he would stick to his plan of taking out Padayatra and would not budge over the issue. "We're just asking Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to fulfill the poll promise he made to the people of Kapu community," Mudragada said.

The former minister was stopped by the police on Wednesday and was denied permission for the Padayatra demanding BC status for Kapus. The police, who initially said that Mudragada was under house arrest till August 2, later claimed that the Kapu leader was not under house arrest.

Referring to the AP Minister's remarks that he is not in a position to walk, Mudragada said that he would prove the claim wrong. He reiterated that he would ready to sacrifice his life for the welfare of Kapus.
