Rayalaseema to become solar hub

Andhra Pradesh Principal Secretary for Power Ajay Jain said that 2500 MW solar power park would be established in Rayalaseema.

Speaking to mediapersons in Hyderabad on Saturday, he said that necessary permission for establishing solar and wind power projects would be given within a week.

“NEDCAP has the power of according permission for power projects. 1000 MWs solar power projects will be established under NTPC in the state,” said Ajay Jain.

He said that they would supply 1000 MW solar power.

“We have selected YSR Kadapa, Kurnool, Anantapur and Chittoor districts for establishing solar and wind power projects. We are planning to produce 5000 MW of power in the coming four years. The Government of India is ready to fund the solar power projects,” said Ajay Jain.
