Kurnool: In a bid to solve the issues of the Rayalaseema region and also help in resolving the problems faced by the people in this region, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) convened an emergency meeting here today and has released a declaration for the development of Rayalaseema.

The BJP leaders of the region, in the declaration, have asked for second capital of the state to be in Rayalaseema, establish the High Court in the region as well as divide the existing four districts into eight districts. They also demanded for reconstitution of Rayalaseema Development Board, give it a constitutional status and allocate funds to the tune of Rs 10,000 crores.

They called upon the government to conduct Assembly sessions half-yearly in Rayalaseema region and also demanded that the government allocate Rs 20,000 crores for the region. The BJP leaders of the region also demanded the government to complete the Galeru-Nagari, Handrineeva and Guru Raghavendra projects.

The BJP leaders also mentioned in the emergency meeting that the government should decentralise its activities instead of having all them at one single place. They also mentioned that protests will be held in the region on February 28 demanding the government ot establish HC in the region.
