Rave party busted, 8 woman dancers held in Hyd

Cyberabad police has claimed to bust a rave party here and arrested 30 persons, including eight woman dancers.

A Special Operation Team (SOT) of police raided a rave party in a guest house at Moinabad area here after midnight yesterday and arrested 30 persons, including eight girls -- four from Mumbai and four from Hyderabad. Most of the men were from Mumbai and had come to the city to attend a reception, a senior police officer said today. The women, dancing in semi-clad dresses, have been arrested on charges of indulging in obscene dance, SOT Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police E Ramchandra Reddy, said, adding five cars and Rs 1.25 lakh in cash were also seized from the guest house, beside liquor bottles and music equipments. The organiser of the party, Dileep Jain, has been previously arrested from Jawahar Nagar in the city for similar offence, he said. A case was booked under relevant sections of IPC and Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA) and further probe is on, he added.
