Rashtrapati Nilayam open for public viewing from Jan 3

Hyderabad: The Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bolarum in Cantonment area of Secunderabad will be open for public viewing from January 3 to 10, each day from 10 am to 5 pm.

A large number of visitors, mostly schoolchildren are expected to visit the Rashtapati Nilayam premises which comprises of landscape gardens, seasonal flowering plants around the main building. The garden is spread over an area of about 7,000 sq.mtrs.

The heritage palace which was constructed by Nizam Nazir-ud-Dowla in 1860, now has number of environment-friendly systems like solar panels, drip irrigation system and fruit gardens.

Rashtrapati Nilayam is open for public viewing once a year in January, post the President of India’s stay as a part of the annual Southern winter sojourn.
