Rapid industrialization on YSRCP agenda: Jagan

Rapid industrialization on YSRCP agenda: Jagan - Sakshi Post

Reiterating that he will change the course of the state and put it on the track of development with ample welfare measures and rapid industrialization, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that he will bring governance to the door steps of the villagers to cater to their needs along with the four other promises he had made and sought the cooperation of the people to give a thumping mandate to the Party candidates in civic, local bodies, assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing a large gathering here on Thursday he said: “immediately after assuming office I will fulfill the five poll promises. The fifth one being taking governance to the door steps of the people. In every village a fully equipped office would be set up to issue ration cards, pension cards, and house pattas, then and there.

The first one would check drop-outs as Rs 1,000 would be deposited in to the mother’s account monthly for the education of her two children, second one would increase the old age pension from Rs 200 to Rs 700, the third to set up Market Stabilisation Fund to help farmers in selling their produce for profit and the fourth one is to waive the loans of DWACRA groups.”

These will be done immediately and in the long term, we will build four sea ports along the coast, go for rapid industrialization to generate employment and create a capital city that would have better infrastructure than the present one which is being deprived for us by the divisive politics of the Congress and TDP, he said adding that he has inherited credibility from YSR who has never gone back on his word.

“The state would be shaped into the best one in the country within a span of ten years and we need to have numbers to bargain with the Centre which makes you people necessary to vote for YSRCP fan symbol to win 30 MP seats.

Training his guns on Chandrababu Naidu, he said the TDP leader has been speaking out of his hat as he is old and this would be his last election. He has been doling out impossible promises but I cannot do that as I am 25 years younger to him and I have to be in public life for 30 more years.

“He has been speaking of housing, waiving loans, free power all and sundry.  The data is clear and the Centre has waived loans worth Rs 65,000 crores in 2008 in all the 28 districts. While our state budget is Rs 1.25 lakh crores, Naidu goes on record saying that he will waive loans worth 1.60 lakh crores which is sheer absurdity.

He promises one job to every family. Naidu must be ill-informed or ignorant of the fact that there are 3.5 crore houses in the state and since independence only 20 lakh jobs were given. There is no coherence in what he is speaking and all promises will wither away after the polls.

Continuing the legacy of YSR, I will be building 10 lakh houses per year. YSR has created record by building 48 lakh houses during his term while the national figure was 47 lakh houses.

With elections coming closer, I appeal you to vote for the party candidates to ensure that a new leaf is turned in the polity of the state, he said.
