Rape attempt on MPTC member in Visakhapatnam

An unidentified miscreant allegedly tried to rape a MPTC member at Urlamitta village of G.Madugula Mandal in Visakhapatnam district on Wednesday. 

According to reports, the miscreant had even attacked the husband of the MPTC member when he tried to resist him from the heinous act. 

The husband was seriously injured in the attack. Before the villagers could nab him, the accused fled from the spot. 

A case was registered against the accused following a complaint by the victim. 

Police are investigating.
