Ramesh, Suresh held, Rs 9.5 lakh seized - Sakshi Post


Police seized an amount of Rs 9.5 lakh in a vehicle checking on the Jammalamadugu bypass road from two people. However, the case will be handed over to Income Tax department.  

The police said that the money was seized from an auto during a check at the area in YSR Kadapa district after Ramesh and Suresh failed to produce valid documentary proof.   

Police has begun to seize unaccounted cash in vehicle checking following orders from the Director General of Police B. Prasada Rao.  

In a related incident, police seized Rs 5 lakh from a car in Pagiri. 

The police are saying vehicles checking is being done across the state as the election code is in force. They said if any person fails to produce relevant documents regarding cash being carried with them, the cash would be seized and handed over to income tax officials.
