Till yesterday, filmnagar circles were hinting at a Sankranti release for Raj Tarun's Raju Gadu. Film buffs were betting big on a big competition between Tarun's movies with those of few biggies lined up for Pongal release next year.

Now, the latest update is that Raj Tarun has swapped the relase date of his movies. His film Raju Gadu that was supposed to hit the screens in January next year is being pulled out while another film of his will release around the same time.

The young hero had signed a film titled “Rangula Ratnam” for Annapurna studios for which he got a remuneration of Rs 25 lakhs. This was the project that he committed to right after the success of the film “Uyyala Jampala”. Though the film was ready, the makers waited for the right time to release. Now, we hear that they finally came to an understanding with Raju Gadu team and managed to grab the Pongal release slot from them.
