Rahul Gandhi in Faridabad, Visits Kin of Dalit family

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi visited Dalit family’s kin  Jitender on Wednesdayin Faridabad. 

Jitender family’s house was set ablaze on Tuesday at 2 am by upper cast people in which his two children died and his wife is battling for life at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital, while he Jitender sustained minor injuries. 

Seeking justice the villagers have blocked Ballabhgarh-Faridabad higway. The police arrested four persons in the incident. 

On being questioned by the reporters whether his visit was a photo-op stunt, Gandhi furiously said, “What do you mean it’s a photo opportunity? People are dying in this country left, right and center. And you are saying it’s a photo opportunity. It is insulting. Not to me, but to the family who has gone through this incident.” 

Meanwhile, Home Minister Rajnath Singh asked Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to look into the matter.
