Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhibegan a 10 km-long 'padyatra' in Anantapur on Friday. He kicked off his padayatra from Obuladevara Cheruvu village to Mamilakuntapalli.

During the course of his yatra, he held interactions in three villages of the district with farmers, MGNREGS workers and with women SHGs. The leader would also meet the family of farmer Harinath Reddy, who allegedly committed suicide. There were interactions with students, farmers and self-help group women

STALLING OF PARLIAMENT: Indicating no let up on stalling Parliament, Rahul Gandhi questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence and made it clear that it will not be allowed to function till External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and two BJP Chief Ministers resign.

LAND BILL: The Congress Vice President also hit out at the NDA government over the contentious Land bill saying it is an anti-farmer government and declared that he would not let Modi take away farmers' land easily.  said he would not let Prime Minister Narendra Modi take farmers' land easily.

SHG GROUPS: “Chief Minister (Chandrababu) Naidu destroyed the work that Congress has done for years and the confidence that was built. He lied to women for winning the elections and the doors of banks are now closed for them. In one minute, he destroyed the power given to you by Congress,” Rahul Gandhi said.
