Rahul on 'less talk, more listen' policy, offers to tour AP

AICC vice-president  Rahul Gandhi  completed his two-day meeting with Chief Ministers, PCC chiefs and Legislative party leaders as part of overhauling the Congress Party and preparing ground for the ensuing 2014 elections.

  As a first step, Rahul Gandhi observed to be maintained “less talk, more listening” policy as he gave more time to understand the situations prevailed in the respective states. He noted down all the information, feedback given by the leaders.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana, who participated in the meeting, were seen jubilant as Rahul Gandhi allowed them to speak. Most controversial Telangana issue which was daunting the State Government was raised by the duo. They understood to have underscored the need to decide the Telangana tangle as early as possible to get mileage in the 2014 elections.
Rahul Gandhi is reported to have given top priority for Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, both have 100 parliamentary seats and it is crucial for the Congress to get more seats here. AP had brought 33 seats for Congress in the previous elections. Keeping this in mind, Rahul Gandhi gave first preference to have interaction with Kiran and Botsa on the first day of the meeting itself.
Talking to reporters, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana said Rahul Gandhi suggested several measures to strengthen the party from the gross-root level. He said Rahul Gandhi would tour Andhra Pradesh shortly. The Telangana issue would be settled, Botsa said, adding that they explained Rahul about the prevailing situations in the state.
