Raghuveera Reddy has new term for defectors
Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Raghuveera Reddy termed the practice of leaders shifting loyalties to other parties as unethical and undemocratic.
Finding fault with the two MPs who won on YSRCP tickets, and later switching allegiance to other parties, Raghuveera said that in the present state of politics, some leaders can stay sans oxygen but not without power.
The APCC chief also demanded action against the leaders under the provisions of anti-defection law. Leaders crossing over to other parties is worse than prostitution, he quipped.
On Sunday, SPY Reddy who won from YSRCP quit the party and joined TDP, while another MP Butta Renuka announced that she would be extending issue based support to TDP.
