Raghavulu hits out at state govt on children's deaths
CPI (M) State Secretary B. V. Raghavulu blamed the Kiran Kumar Reddy government for the death of children at the Ruia Hospital in Tirupati.
Addressing reporters here today, Raghavulu said that due to the lack of timely treatment, the children continued to die and blamed it on the apathy of the government machinery.
He added that the current state government lacked a vision on health care and this was demonstrated by ground realities all over the state.
He warned the government that his party was going to stage a series of protests to express solidarity with the victims' parents and to highlight the indifference of the government.
Meanwhile, deaths of children in Ruia Hospital in Tirupati are continuing unabated. Four more children died on Sunday, taking the toll to 27, while several others are said to be in a critical condition.
It is learnt that a special team from Hyderabad visited the hospital yesterday.
