Ragging claims the life of young girl student

Ragging snuffed another innocent young life.

M Rishikeswari (18) ended her life unable to bear the harassment by her seniors at the Acharya Nagarjuna University Architecture College on Tuesday.

Rishikeswari, a first year B Arch student from Warangal, was found hanging from the ceiling of her hostel room. A suicide note titled ‘My Last Note’ gave a detailed account of the harassment she faced from her senior students.

At the end of the note, she requested her parents to donate her body organs to the needy. Rishikeshwari is a merit student and had secured very good marks in the first year. She had already informed her parents of the harassment she was facing and her father even met the principal on the issue.

Shocked by the death of the student due to ragging, the university administration ordered an inquiry into the incident.
