Raat Gayi Baat Gayi: Sakshi Maharaj

New Delhi: BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj says  "Raat gayi, baat gayi"  after making sensational comments  on Hindu woman on Wednesday.

The Saffron Guru and MP has an explanation rather than a regret for his comments that Hindus should beget four children. When talking to media persons at New Delhi he said "Raat gayi, baat gayi (As time passed, the matter also ended)" backing his comment. The  58-year-old also added that he made these statements only at religious but not at political gathering.
When asked about the same, BJP spokesperson Shrikant Sharma said that it was only his personal opinion but not party's.
Earlier on Wednesday he said, Hindu women to have at least four children, drawing criticism and ridicule from opposition which demanded a clarification from the government.
He said "give one to sadhus and ascetics. Media says there are ceasefire violations happening, so send another to the border, the saffron-clad MP from Unnao said at a religious convention."
