R Krishnaiah Says He is Close to Nayeem, But Never Involved in his Monetary Affairs
TDP’s lone MLA from Hyderabad city and prominent BC leader R Krishnaiah accused the ruling TRS of trying to frame him in Nayeem case as he has been resisting the TRS overtures to join the party.
I never had any financial dealing with Nayeem despite my friendship with him
Known for his pro-BC agitations, R Krishnaiah admitted that he was a personal friend of Nayeem since the Naxalite Radical Students Union days and maintained a close rapport with him. In fact, Nayeem wanted to see me as the chief minister of the state, he said.
“However, I never had any financial dealing with Nayeem despite my friendship with him,” he said and refuted the claims that he was involved in Nayeem’s settlements.
“If the allegations are proved, I am willing to undergo any punishment,”he said.
“I spoke to Nayeem a month before the encounter. He had asked me to help him in surrendering to the police,”he revealed and said that the SIT probe was not transparent.
Significantly, Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkata Reddy too leveled similar charges saying that he was being targeted for not joining the TRS.
