PV Sindhu Set To Be Deputy Collector
Hyderabad: Indian shuttler PV Sindhu, who won the silver medal at 2016 Rio Olympics has accepted the Deputy Collector(group-1) job offered by Andhra Pradesh government. As Sindhu showed her willingness towards the job it would take 8-9 months to become a conferred IAS, as per provisions of the UPSC.
AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu offered Rs 3 crore, a group-1 job and 1000 yards of land in Amaravathi as a token of appreciation. Now she showed her interest in taking up the job offer.
Recently Sindhu's mother Vijaya who attended the National Women Parliament Session said that Sindhu has written a letter to the AP government about her willingness to take the offer of the Deputy collector.
At present Sindhu has been working with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd as a manager(sports). In the honour, Telangana Government has also felicitated Sindhu with Rs 5 crore and 1000 yards of land in Hyderabad.
