Psycho kills MPTC member, 2 others

In a shocking incident, a psycho went berserk and killed three persons, including the local MPTC member. The incident occurred in Korukonda of East Godavari district on Thursday.

Edida Anand, who was released from prison only Wednesday, attacked his sister-in-law Vijayalakshmi (38) with an iron rod. She died on the spot. Seeing this, Gaddam Nagabhushanam, a local tried to stop him. But, Anand attacked him too. Local MPTC member Kandavalli Kumari too tried to stop him, but was attacked with the iron rod. She and Nagabhushanam suffered critical injuries. Both Kumari and Nagabhushanam died during treatment. Another person too suffered grievous injuries.
The police, who rushed to the spot after being informed, overpowered Anand and registered a case against him. The reason for attack is not known.
