Protests Against GST On Agri-Products, Congress Leaders Arrested

Former whip Jayaprakash Reddy joined the protest to show their solidarity
Hyderabad: Senior congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao and former Sangareddy MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy were arrested on Thursday at Tank Bund after they staged a sit-in protesting against GST on agri-products.
Rao along with other party leaders staged protest near Ambedkar statue on Tank Bund against the GST which will soon be implemented by the central government. Former whip Jayaprakash Reddy joined the protest to show their solidarity.
The police rushed to the spot and arrested the leaders stating that there was no permission to hold any public protests on Tank Bund.
