Prof Saibaba’s Wife Says His Health Condition Is Precarious In Nagpur Prison
The health condition of Prof. GN Saibaba, who has been handed out life imprisonment for waging war against the country and for involving in Naxal activities, is stated to be precarious.
His wife Vasantha who met him on Wednesday, said Dr Saibaba is in danger and that the jail authorities are not providing any medical support. In addition, a false and dubious medical report is being under preparation, she alleged. She said though Saibaba's BP is abnormal, the reports of the jail authorities say they are normal.
The medicines sent to him through advocates are being given to him only under emergency, she alleged. The previous health problems like stones in kidneys, chest pain, breathlessness have aggravated in addition to gall bladder and pancreatic pain. Due to Prostate problem he is unable to pass urine. In this one month of Jail life he was suffered pancreatic pain thrice, she claimed.
He was advised by Rockland hospital for review of pancreas problem and for new course of medicines. So far no such review was done in the Jail. As per the doctor 's advise he has to take two tablets daily for heart problem and other medicine for pancreatic pain. Both these medicines are not given to him. He is unable to consume the Jail food, Vasantha claimed.
She said he was not being allowed to get news and letters written by her were not given to him.
