Probe leakages in Secretariat: YSRCP

YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy addressing the media - Sakshi Post

Flaying the Chandrababu Naidu government for the leakages and water seepage in the temporary secretariat building, the YSR Congress Party demanded an inquiry by a competent authority into the wasteful expenditure and the faulty construction.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday party MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy said that the temporary structure constructed at an exorbitant cost of Rs 10,000 per square feet could not withstand one-day rain and water started seeping in showing the poor construction quality.

Municipal Minister Narayana dubbing the leakages as a minor incident shows the kind of compromise that the state government had made to shield the contractors, Reddy said and demanded a probe into the whole contract.clearly show that there were kickbacks in the deal and these facts would come out only in an inquiry. This probe is important as the temporary secretariat is the precursor of more projects in the offing," he said.

When there were rains during last month, the building witnessed a similar situation and water started seeping in to the Leader of the Opposition’s chamber. The evidence was manipulated and the case was sought to be distorted by the Government, he pointed out.
