Priyanka Cannot Campaign This Time, Says Irani

Kanpur: Priyanka Gandhi will not come down to Amethi to campaign for the Congress party as she will not be able to reply to people’s questions, said BJP leader and union minister Smriti Irani on Thursday.

Smriti Irani who is campaigning for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh had this to say about Amethi. Priyanka was not able to answer when people asked her if she would become the CM if the party won in UP, Irani said.

Smriti Irani had contested from Amethi in Lok Sabha 2014 elections against Rahul Gandhi and lost. Commenting on this she said, it was natural for people to win and lose but she would continue to work for the people in the constituency.

Further criticizing Priyanka Gandhi, Smriti Irani said unlike herself, Priyanka can never work among the people nor can she answer the questions posed by them.

According to her, This is because they make unrealistic promises during elections to deceive people and cannot go back to them to answer why they have not done as they promised, she said.
