Prime Minister Modi to Visit Gajwel, Participate in Other Programs Via Video Conference
Hyderabad: The first visit of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister to Telangana may be confined to Gajwel only as against the originally announced schedule comprising several programmes. According to an official statement from Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Modi will arrive on August 7 at 2:20pm at Begumpet airport and leave for Gajwel by helicopter.
Modi will inaugurate the first phase of Mission Bhagiratha and then kickstart some development projects via video conference. Modi will also address a public meeting.
As part of the first phase, the piped drinking water scheme under Mission Bhagiratha will be beneficial to every household in nine constituencies. Marking the inauguration of Mission Bhagiratha, Modi will unveil a pylon at Gajwel. Medchal, Siddipet, Alair, Bhongir, Dubbak, Jangoan, Tungaturthi and Station Ghanpur are covered under the first phase of Mission Bhagiratha.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation the 2x600 MW thermal power plant set up by Singareni Collieries Company Ltd at Jaipur in Adilabad district, lay foundation stone for 2x800 MW thermal power plant being set up by NTPC at Ramagundam as part of the 4,000 MW dedicated power plant for Telangana as per the provisions of Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.
Modi will lay foundation stone for Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited being revived at Ramagundam in Karimnagar district. The National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) in joint venture with Engineers India Limited (EIL) is undertaking the revival of the Ramagundam unit of Fertilizers Corporation of India Limited. Modi will also inaugurate Kaloji Narayan Rao Health University, Warangal, and lay foundation stone for Manoharabad-Kothapalli railway line.

Modi will return to Hyderabad at 5pm and participate in the BJP’s Mahasammelanam programme at LB Stadium. Modi will start off at 6:40pm from Hyderabad and reach New Delhi at 8:45pm.
The Chief Minister K Chandrashekhara Rao on Thursday evening held a review meeting on the preparations and security for the Prime Minister’s visit to the State. Telangana government is making grand arrangements to welcome Prime Minister Modi.
