Prime accused in Tanishq robbery case arrested
Hyderabad, Banjara hills police, on Monday morning, arrested the prime accused in the Tanishq jewelry robbery case in Hyderabad.
According to reports, the accused, Kiran, accepting the robbery charges, surrendered himself to the Police. Along with Kiran, Police also arrested four other accused.
As part of investigations, the police are collecting more information, with regard to people present at the shop during the course of robbery. They are questioning two security guards, one employee from the security agency, and another person belonging to the shop. They are also collecting information of former and current Tanishq employees, for further clarifications.

Meanwhile,Tanishq management calculated the damages and showed accounts for Rs 5.97 crore that it lost during the robbery.
According to the complaint filed on Saturday by General Manager Manikandan, gold, 18 kgs gold ornaments worth Rs 11 crore, coloured stone ornaments and 12 kgs of pearls worth Rs 12 was robbed. The final report indicated that Rs 4.6 crore worth of gold ornaments among others, were robbed.
