Pregnant teen complaints on lover for desertion
Khammam: A 17-year-old girl, who was impregnated and duped by a BTech graduate approached Balala Hakkula Sangham on Monday to get married with her lover.
The victim, who is in sixth-month of her pregnancy said she was in love with one Muthaiah (23) for three years. The girl hailing from Nerada village in Khammam was studying in high school when she met Muthaiah.
Muthaiah, who was girl's neighbour promised to marry her and developed physical contact with her in the name of love. But after impregnating her, he rejected her as she belongs to schedule caste.
The victim's family lodged a complaint with Chintakani police station in December 2015. Although, the accused was arrested, he subsequently came out on bail.
"After I conceived he started avoiding me. His father is an influential man and is adopting all means to convince me to accept their conditions," said the victim.
The distressed girl urged the Balala Hakkula Sangham to reunite her with Muthaih.
Anuradha Rao, Balala Hakkula Sangham President said that after delivery child should be handed over to Shishu Vihar's care and the girl should continue her education.
