Pre-Diwali Political Dhamaka: Revanth Reddy Criticises TDP For Hobnobbing With KCR
TDP Telangana leader and MLA Revanth Reddy burst a political cracker barely hours before the Diwali dhamaka begins. Amid rumours that he was going to latch on to the Congress bandwagon in Telangana, Revanth Reddy slammed leaders from his own party for hobnobbing with the TRS and pandering to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao.
Revanth Reddy has been sulking ever since there were reports that the TDP and the TRS are coming together in Telangana. Lending credence to the reports, another senior leader from Telangana, Motkupalli Narasimhulu, said that the TDP would rather align with TRS than joining hands with the Congress. An upset Revanth sought clarity from Chandrababu, but the latter was evasive. Since then, Revanth has been preparing ground to leave the TDP.
Revanth Reddy questioned the rationale of TDP leaders from Andhra Pradesh bending backwards to please KCR at a time when he is incarcerating Telugu Desam leaders in Telangana. "When KCR went to attend AP Minister Paritala Sunitha's son Sriram's wedding, the TDP leaders had almost prostrated before KCR. Did the TRS leaders do the same thing when they attended TDP leader Seetakka's son's wedding?" Revanth asked. He also found fault with Payyavula Kesav criticising him saying that he has been rejected by the people at the hustings and has no right to criticise him.
Revanth Reddy also slammed AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu for being soft on KCR. He alleged that KCR had given Yanamala contracts worth Rs 2000 crore in Telangana. Revanth, who has been arrested in the infamous Cash for Votes scam, has been very vocal in criticising KCR.
