Prakasam ZP chairman disqualified

Prakasam District Collector Vijaya Kumar on Monday disqualified zilla parishad chairman Eedara Haribabu on charges of violating the party whip.

With this, Haribabu also lost his ZPTC membership along with his post of ZP chairman.

Haribabu won as ZPTC on behalf of TDP. But, he contested as an independent candidate and became the ZP chairman with the support of YSRCP in the election held on July 13. The TDP lodged a complaint that he had violated the party whip and was thus fit to be disqualified.
But, Haribabu claims that he did not receive the whip from TDP and so there is no question of violating it.
Haribabu gave his reply to the showcause notice issued by the Presiding Officer.
But, he lost both the posts finally.
