Praja Sankalpa Yatra: YSRCP Government Will Include Valmiki Boya Community In ST Category

YSR Kadapa: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy received tremendous response from the people as the padayatra entered Potladurthi on Saturday.

Scores of residents, YSRCP supporters and party cadre gathered from the early hours of the day to welcome the leader of opposition to Potladurthi. Later, YS Jagan hoisted the party flag at the town center amidst chanting of 'YS Jagan Zindabad' by the people.

Representatives of the Valmiki Boya community met YS Jagan in the town and narrated their woes. They stated the AP government has not fulfilled its promise to include them in the ST list. After giving a patient hearing to their grievances, the YSRCP chief said that after forming the next government in the state he will initiate steps to include them in the ST category. "A bill will be introduced in the state assembly and the approval of the central government will also be sought in this regard," he said.
