Are Innocent Muslim Youth Who Expose Injustice Traitors, Chandrababu?

YSR Congress party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy - Sakshi Post

Ramachandrapuram, Visakhapatnam District: My Padayatra proceeded today in Madugula constituency, which is renowned for its halwa. Krishna Ashtami was celebrated with great fervour and it was a delight to see children dressed up in the attire of young Krishna.

Today, I once again came to know about the extent to which the fee reimbursement scheme had been diluted by the Chandrababu Naidu government. Krishnaveni of Gullepalli completed her engineering. She is mother of two and her husband is an auto rickshaw driver. She wanted to find a job for herself and support her family. But things became increasingly challenging for her when the fee reimbursement did not come through. College authorities tell her that she would get her certificates back only if she would pay the fees amounting to about a lakh of rupees, an amount beyond the modest means of this poor girl from a deprived background. Sadly therefore, for three years she has been confined to her house in such circumstances. She was in tears saying that her education and hard work had gone fruitless. Chandrababu Naidu who claims to empower students with education should own responsibility for her pitiable state. I could not but help commend the self-belief shown by a differently-abled young man, Ravi Kumar.

A victim of polio, his hands also got affected and deformed. Battling against odds, he completed his M. Com. Though he has cleared all competitive exams in flying colours, he was not being given a job because of his disability and got no government support. Undaunted, this young man is running a coaching centre. Today, he provides employment to people and shown that he could rise above his circumstances. Somu Naidu was electrocuted and the result was that he lost two legs and a hand. The accident had a tragic impact on his marriage, as well. His house was swept away under the force of the Hud Hud cyclone. His father is also a differently-abled person and his mother, a daily wage labourer, supports them.

Anyone in this wide world would be moved by the plight of this family, except the Chandrababu Naidu government which has denied them pensions for four and half years.

Miffed with his circumstances, the man attempted suicide at the MPDO office. This is the concern which the TDP government demonstrates on the ground for the disabled. Meanwhile, Chandrababu survives through his diabolical machinations by propagating falsehoods trumpeted by his select media outlets claiming to have done many things which he has not. Members of the Muslim community from Devarapalli met me. A lady complained to me about the denial of scholarship to her son, Chandranna Pelli Kanuka, which was supposed to be a supportive initiative for marriages, was a non-starter said another. All of them were clear that no government had been as insensitive and unjust to the Muslim community, as the Chandrababu Naidu government.

I have a question for the chief minister— Is it not true that your cabinet is the only one in history which does not have a Muslim representative? Have you fulfilled at least one of the commitments made in your manifesto aimed at Muslims? Can you obliterate all the injustice done to Muslims by spending crores of public money for your ‘Nara Hamara’? Are innocent Muslim youth who wanted to speak out about the injustices being done to them, traitors? What should one call you who has deceived all sections of society?
