Rain Fails To Dampen Spirits Of People On YS Jagan Padayatra

The overwhelming success of Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and YSRCP chief, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's popular mass contact programme, Praja Sankalpa Yatra can be gauged from the fact that people from all walks of life flocked to the mass leader's Mamidalu camp office on Sunday.
It may be recalled that YS Jagan had to halt his padayatra for a day on Sunday in view of the heavy rain and the resultant difficult conditions for the people who often brave the rain to meet him.
Earlier, it was hoped that the rain would let up allowing the padayatra to continue but that was not to be. The rainy conditions forced the YSRCP chief to stay indoors, but people in large numbers came to the camp office in Gollalamamidada to narrate their problems and hand over their letter of appeal to him, seeking justice.
Outdoors, the conditions were such that it was next to impossible to step out and proceed any further. Yet people continued to come to the camp office to pour out their woes to the people's leader.
Among those who met YS Jagan were women from DWCRA groups, VOs and Velugu animators among several others. The common refrain from all groups of people was that they were suffering indescribably under the TDP rule. People pointed out how the Chandrababu Naidu government had turned a blind eye to critical issues such as women SHGs, fee reimbursement, healthcare, pension, loan waivers and minimum support price among other burning problems. YS Jagan assured all those who met him of justice under Rajanna Rajyam.
Meanwhile, he began his padayatra on day 213 from Mamidalu in Anaparthy constituency of East Godavari district.
