People Brave Rain To Meet YS Jagan in East Godavari

As heavy rains lashed the area throughout the day, Leader of Opposition and YSR Congress Party President, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, had to halt his mass contact initiative, Praja Sankalpa Yatra, for the day on Tuesday. It had started to rain in the wee hours of the morning and continued through the day till evening. The YSRCP chief waited till about 3 pm, for the downpour to let up, but finally decided to halt the walkathon for the day in the face of incessant rain.

People continued to throng the Padayatra route in large numbers, braving the continuous rain, to catch a glimpse of the mass leader. Thousands of women from Bikkavolu mandal, Pandalapaka and Komaripalem lined the Padayatra route waiting for YS Jagan, disregarding the inconvenience caused by the rain, hoping that the downpour would cease.

YSRCP official spokesman, Talasila Raghuram announced the deferment of the day's schedule to Wednesday.
