YS Jagan Expresses Concern Over Safety Of Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims
With adverse weather conditions and incessant rains lashing the higher reaches of the Himalayas, the pilgrims of Amarnath yatra are facing several hardships. It is said thousands of pilgrims in the yatra are from Andhra Pradesh and they are stranded due to flash floods en route the holy shrine.

Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed concern over the situation of the people who are stranded at the Hilsa base camp. He called on the Central and State government to take immediate action on this and shift the people to a safer place as well as provide medical aid to the needy.
YS Jagan is on his mass outreach programme, Praja Sankalpa Yatra in East Godavari district and on hearing the news about the Amarnath yatra pilgrims, expressed his concern and enquired about their situation with the party leaders.
Meanwhile, YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy also requested the PMO and External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to make every possible efforts to provide safe arrival and medical needs to Telugu pilgrims stranded at Hilsa base camp in Nepal due to adverse weather conditions.
