Ponguleti resigns from Congress party posts
AICC member and senior Congress leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has resigned from all party posts on Wednesday. Reddy, who is unhappy over the the allocation of Telangana PCC posts, has resigned from the PCC executive and coordination committee.
He had forwarded his resignation by fax to PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy and senior leader Shabbir Ali. Ponguleti alleged that Uttam Kumar Reddy had behaved in a unilateral and dictatorial manner while allocating PCC posts. He alleged that despite being a senior party leader, he was not consulted while allocating the posts. He said only Malli Bhatti Vikramarka and Renuka Chowdary were consulted while giving party positions from Khammam district.
A shocked Congress leader went into a tizzy and senior leader Shabbir Ali tried to console Reddy. He asked Reddy not to take any hasty decision.
