Andhra Pradesh Know Your Minister: Anil Kumar Polaboina

Amaravati: Nellore City MLA-elect Anil Kumar Polaboina was sworn in as a cabinet minister for the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He has been the MLA from the constituency since 2014. He has been allocated the Industries, Commerce; Information Technology portfolio.

Nellore City Assembly constituency is one among 10 constituencies in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. Anil Kumar won against Telugu Desam Party’s Ponguru Narayana, with a margin of 1,988 votes.

The YSR Congress inducted 25 new ministers on Saturday into the Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's Council of Ministers in Andhra Pradesh in what they termed as "socially-inclusive Cabinet." The new government will have five deputy CMs in an unprecedented move.

In line with his electoral promise, YS Jaganmohan Reddy gave Cabinet berths to seven legislators from the backward classes, five from the Scheduled Castes, one each from the Scheduled Tribes and Muslims, and four each from the Kapu and the Reddy communities.

State Governor E S L Narasimhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers at a glittering public function adjacent to the Secretariat at Velagapudi in capital Amaravati.
