Kodela Should Verify Facts On Polavaram: KVP

Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao - Sakshi Post

Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao criticized AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao for speaking falsehoods about the Polavaram project. The Rajya Sabha MP counselled Kodela to apprise himself of the facts of the matter before speaking on the subject. KVP said that he had written a letter to the Speaker comrpising 28 questions, but the reply he received from the Speaker was a cut and paste job of government figures. He said that Kodela's response reflected his ignorance in the matter.

Polavaram is not confined to headworks alone, KVP told Kodela. He added that the AP Assembly Speaker needed to inform himself comprehensively before commenting on the subject. He also added that Kodela was justifying the irregularities which took place with respect to Polavaram. He advised Kodela to examine facts for himself and not to be blindly misled by the government.

He said that Chandrababu Naidu was taking the whole state for a ride adding sarcastically that, given an opportunity, the AP chief minister would claim that he built Charminar. It was the Congress party which gave all the requisite approvals and also took the project forward, he said. KVP slammed Chandrababu for having no clarity on Polavaram or the timeline of its completion. He also said that Chandrababu was propagating misinformation on Polavaram for short term gains.
