TDP Worker Commits Suicide After Pouring Out Woes On Facebook Live

Guntur: A TDP leader from Chilakaluripeta who was depressed following the death of his ailing father committed suicide on Wednesday.

According to reports, Y Dasu alias Jingiri a TDP worker, who was paralyzed two years ago, was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Guntur. Dasu had two sons Meri Babu and Vijay. The elder one Meri Babu is an MTech postgraduate and working as a lecturer at a private college. Meanwhile, Vijay, also a TDP worker joined as a daily wage labourer along with his mother Esther.

Unable to meet the medical bills, Esther approached TDP leaders for help but no one came forward to support them. On the other hand, Dasu's health condition was deteriorating. Depressed over the mounting medical bills and father's illness, Vijay went live on Facebook alleging that TDP had not provided any financial help to his father who had served the party for many years adding that his suicide might bring about a change in the party leaders and hoped that they would extend help to his ailing father.

Vijay then committed suicide by consuming pesticides and died at a hospital while undergoing treatment.
