Breather For Revanth Reddy In Defamation Case
Hyderabad: In a relief to Telangana Congress leader Revanth Reddy, the Hyderabad High Court on Friday stayed the proceedings in the defamation case filed against him, by industrialist A Rameshwara Rao in 2015.
The case was filed before the 17th additional chief metropolitan magistrate court after Revanth Reddy accused the Telangana government of allocating lands worth Rs 2,000 crores to the industrialist free of cost.
The case was later transferred to the special sessions judge, to whom the Kodangal MLA filed a petition seeking the stay of the proceedings pending before the court.
Hearing Revanth Reddy's petition on Friday, Justice M Satyanarayana Murthy passed the order.
