CPM Protests In Guntur Sparks Tension

Guntur: Tension arose in the city as Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) state general secretary Madhu led a protest against the alleged arrest of innocents in the case filed at Old Guntur police station, here this morning. The CPM leader condemned the arrest and staged a protest near the police station.

Madhu visited the police station to console the arrested but the police refused to permit him. Fumed over this, a huge number of CPM workers tried to threaten the police and staged a protest in front of the station.
