TDP Blocked Kadapa Steel Plant For Kickbacks: Pawan Kalyan

Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: Actor turned politician, Pawan Kalyan, reiterated what the YSRCP had been saying all along on the issue of the Kadapa steel plant. The Jana Sena founder alleged that the TDP had blocked the setting up of a steel plant at Kadapa for "percentages" or kickbacks.

Pawan Kalyan made these comments while addressing the media in Vijayawada, along with state CPI secretary Ramakrishna. He said that the Jindal group had come forward with a proposal to set up the steel plant, but it was blocked by members of the ruling TDP because they did find it "profitable" for them. Pawan Kalyan said that conditions in the state were such that industries would get permissions only if certain sections in the ruling party benefited in the process. The Jana Sena founder alleged that the TDP failed in providing an honest government.
