Future of Jobless Youth In AP Bleak Under TDP

Bharatiya Janata Party leaders - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Vishnukumar Raju slammed the Andhra Pradesh government for dismissing 21,000 employees who were working under the Saakshar Bharat scheme. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, he said, "Chandrababu came to power by promising jobs in 2014. How could he dismiss 21,000 employees all at once?" He demanded that all the sacked employees be protected by the state government.

The BJP leader said Chandrababu will face the wrath of 21,000 youth, who have been working since 8 years. The Saakshar Bharat employees were responsible for educating illiterates, who are beyond the permissible age limit for education, while the government utilized them for other purposes, he noted.

Removing employees without issuing memorandums is unjustified, the MLA said. I wonder if Chandrababu will blame Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this issue as well, wondered Vishnukumar. "Can't the government spare Rs 4 crores for the sake of 21,000 employees?" he questioned.

The state government should reconsider the step in humanitarian angle and revoke the memoranda, he demanded.
