Chandrababu To Be Named As Accused In Cash-For-Vote Scam?

Nara Chandrababu Naidu - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Investigation into the Cash-for-vote case which rocked the nation three years ago, seems to have brought the role of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, into sharp focus. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is likely to name him as an accused in the third chargesheet being drawn up, sources say. It is learnt that both the Hyderabad and Chandigarh labs have conclusively established the voice in the taped conversation with nominated MLC Stevenson, as that of Chandrababu Naidu. On this count, he may be named in the third chargesheet in the case, according to reliable sources.

In the chargesheets filed by the Bureau, former Telugu Desam MLA from Kodangal, Revanth Reddy has been named A-1. TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah has also been named as one of the accused. The ACB claims that it has obtained relevant evidence on the amount of Rs.50 lakhs which is critical to the case.

According to sources in the ACB, apart from Revanth Reddy, a minister in the AP cabinet and a former TDP MLA are among those whose role in attempting to lure nominated MLC Stevenson with cash, is suspected. It is learnt that the third chargesheet may cite incriminating evidence against them in the case.
