KCR Review Brings Notes for Votes Scam Back In Focus

The Notes for Votes scandal which rocked the country in three years ago, is reported to be back in focus following Telangana Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekara Rao's review of the case on Monday. It is learnt that KCR had summoned senior officials related to the case including former director-general A.K.Khan, who was the head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) at that time. Law department officials also were reported to be present at the review meeting which was held at Pragathi Bhavan here.

The review meeting taken up by the Telangana Chief Minister is reported to have lasted for nearly five hours. Sources say that the ACB has obtained the forensic report authenticating AP Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu's voice on a taped phone conversation with nominated MLC, Elvis Stephenson seeking his support to the Telugu Desam candidate in the MLC elections.
