Politico, Policeman Arrested in Nayeem Case

Eight officers with known links to Nayeem have been served memos. Two additional SPs, three DSPs and three CIs have been asked to surrender their service weapons.

A police official and a senior politician has been arrested in connection with the gangster Nayeem case. Both the leaders are from Nalgonda and have been taken into custody in Bengaluru.

However, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is yet to confirm the arrests. The SIT has also decided to take back all the licensed weapons being used by the Nalgonda politicians. Already notices have been issued to several politicians and the licenses of some other leaders have been canceled.
