Political rivals outside, pals at the dinner table

Hyderabad: Bitter rivals they are politically. But, when they leave politics aside, they are the best of pals.

At Telangana Government Whip Gampa Govardhan's daughter's wedding, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, Finance Minister Eatela Rajendar and his bitter critics K Jana Reddy, Shabbir Ali and Vivek of the Congress shared the same table and had their dinner on Friday night.

There was banter, bon homie, revelry and repartee at the function. They were seen exchanging pleasantries and sharing jokes.

This presented a rare sight to the people. It is not for nothing that dinner and diplomacy are tagged together.
