Police' surprise raids at internet cafes

In view of the Bonalu celebrations and red alert from the centre, the Hyderabad police conducted surprise raids on the Internet cafes across the town.
In a search operation, the cops seized an internet cafe at Khairatabad. Police raided Dentivi cafe which did not have CC cameras and did not make an entry of internet users and their ID proofs.
Police had in the past issued notices to the internet cafe owners to demand for ID proofs and other details from the users after it was found that terrorists were using Internet centres ro carry out anti-social activities. Central Zone DCP Kamalasan Reddy said that any shop that doesn't comply with the rule will suffer the same fate.
