Police Solve Hyderabad’s Honour Killing Case

Hyderabad: Police have solved the murder case of Lalit Aditya, who was murdered in Vanasthalipuram of the city on Thursday with the arrest of three persons.

The arrested youth were identified as Yashwanth Reddy, Prashanth Reddy and Sai Prakash Reddy while a fourth person Sai Kiran Reddy is still on the run. The trio were arrested from Kartal village in Mahbubnagar district where they were hiding after committing the ghastly crime, police said. All the three stated that they killed Lalit Aditya for harassing their sister Sushmita Reddy, police added.

It may be recalled that Lalit Aditya married Sushmita Reddy several months ago. Their families were opposed to the marriage and hence there were frequent quarrels between Aditya and Sushmita's family members. Recently, they got Sushmita's pregnancy terminated which infuriated Aditya. The latter filed a police case against Sushmita's brothers in this regard. Matters came to a head in the early hours of Thursday when Yashwanth and his accomplices murdered Aditya.
