Police seize 3,500 saris from TDP leader

Elections have never been bereft of bribes. And local body election events have always been punctured with cases of local voters being wooed by gifts.
Vijayawada witnessed a similar event. On, Tuesday, within few days to go for local body elections, the city police seized saris from a warehouse in Eluru.
On a tip of information, police raided a house of TDP leader Gadde Rammohan Rao. During the check, police seized saris more than 3,500. As per reports, the saris were to be used to woo women voters.
As per reports, police had to get seven tractors to shift the saris. Police registered a case in this regard.
