Police seek lie detector test for Kadapa ex-mayor - Sakshi Post

With the one-day police custody was completed on Thursday, the police were on the move to take court permission for a lie detector test to former mayor of Kadapa Ravindranath Reddy.

They filed a petition to this effect in First Additional civil judge court. It may be recalled Ravindranath Reddy had complained to District Cooperative Officer (DCO) on January 12 asking for removal of bogus votes in Peddacheppali cooperative society in Kamalapuram mandal of YSR Kadapa district.

A case has been registered against him on the charges of forgery and using fake seal in the complaint. He was remanded to police custody for 14 days and on the request, he was handed over to police custody for a day. The former mayor was presented before the court on Friday and was shifted to district jail.
